Its core business is in the application of Combined Heat and Power where the fuel efficiency of this means of generating electricity and heat will realise benefits. Since a CHP set is but a specialised form of generating set, these more typical machines can also be supplied in standby, automatic mains fail or synchronising format.
Particularly for CHP applications, the company will design and build bespoke machines, specially designed for a particular location and customer in order that savings can be maximised and the most economical package installed.
The company is small, specialist and tries to give personal attention and service by experienced and knowledgeable staff.
With a background in building and operating CHP sets designed for unusual fuels, particularly contaminated biogases of relatively low calorific value, Beaver Power Limied can demonstrate an ability to solve most electrical generating problems, particularly involving gas fuelled engines.
Handling service and maintenance of both their own-built machines and those supplied by others, the company is most aware of the importance of maintenance; all machines are designed and built for simple maintenance and servicing. The shorter the time spent idle, the longer the period the machine spends doing its primary duty – providing electricity, heat and saving money.
With staff experienced in contracts involving mechanical, electrical, civil and process engineering disciplines, turnkey installations can be undertaken, using sub-contractors if necessary. Alternatively, machines can be supplied on an “ex-works” basis for installation as part of a complete main or sub-contract.
Machines can be offered with full on-board instrumentation for those owners and operators who want control of their machines, up to the “black box” concept where all operations are controlled and monitored remotely.
Beaver Powers Limited has supplied machines to UK water Companies, to British Gas, to local authorities and private companies. Several machines have been shipped overseas.
With over 30 years of combined experience in CHP and engine applications, consultancy work also undertaken.
